Appliances to Protect Your Smile

Maintaining good oral health is more than just brushing and flossing. Activities like playing sports can be potentially detrimental to your oral health. Even something as simple as sleeping if you clench, grind, or snore can affect it!

Mouth guards are designed to help protect your oral cavity from harm, so you can keep active and get a good night's sleep without worrying about your teeth. Sleep apnea and snoring appliances can also help you get a good night's sleep by helping you breathe better and avoid waking up constantly.

Snoring & Sleep Apnea Appliances

A good night's sleep is an important part of keeping healthy. Sleep disorders can disrupt your sleep, and prevent you from getting your necessary shut-eye.

When you snore, your throat tissues relax, restricting the airway and creating the sound of snoring as oxygen is forced through. If you have sleep apnea, that means your throat has become too relaxed and is obstructing the airway, forcing you to wake up so you can breathe.

A custom-fitted oral appliance for sleep apnea or snoring is designed to move the lower jaw and tongue muscles to open up the airway. This should help improve your airflow and stop you from waking up throughout the night.

Sports Guards

Whether you're on the court or the field, if you get hit in the mouth during a sports activity, a mouth guard can provide a barrier between your teeth and the soft tissue of your mouth to protect your smile from damage.

Night Guards

If you grind your teeth during sleep, a mouth guard will help protect them wearing down. If you clench your jaw, a mouth guard will also help prevent you from clenching and provide some pain relief.
